A parent, for parents.
I made it for my daughters, because I wanted to teach them about the world through a Christian-centered lens.
That is the reason Little Flock exists. I wanted lessons with enough substance to trust, enough warmth to enjoy together, and directions a parent could actually use at home.
Our approach to Scripture
Each lesson begins with the Bible passage itself. We read the passage in context, check direct quotations against the public-domain World English Bible Classic, and write the parent guidance in plain language.
The family stories are original. They help children recognize the lesson in ordinary life, but they are never presented as Bible events. Our aim is simple: help a parent open Scripture, notice what it says, and talk about it naturally with a child.
Why the response pages are different
Every session offers three ways to respond. One meets the lesson through pictures, movement and storytelling; one through cutting, building and moving; one through retelling, explaining, writing and creating. A child takes whichever fits. All three stay with the same shared biblical truth; only the way a child responds changes.
That approach is informed by guidance on developmentally appropriate, play-based learning, responsive back-and-forth between children and adults, and guided recall for elementary learners. Research helps us choose the form of an activity; Scripture supplies the truth we are teaching.
